Elmer, an Anglo-Saxon boy, was a son of a King Harold Godwinson's bodyguards. On the early morning of October 14, 1066 was a battle Anglo-Saxon and Norman army. The battle was hard but, ufortunatly, ended in defeat for King Harold Godwinson~s army. The king died and with him Anglo-Saxon Britain died too. Britain now belonged to William of Normandy. The boy~s house was destroied. Somehow Elmer understood his family were dead. "One day the Normans will be sorry. I will wait and It doesn't matter how long." he said.
