A: Your brother is a student, isn`t he?
B: Yes, he is. He is studying to become an economist.
A: He used to like English, didn`t he?
B: Yes, he did. He used to like it. Boris is fond of foreign languages.
A: Does he take part in students' scientific work?
B: Yes, of course. And he applies his acquired English in his research work.

II.

A: When will your exams begin?
B: Oh, they are not far off. Here is the time-table of my exams.
A: You are afraid, aren`t you?
B: Of course, I am. I am afraid, I can fail in mathematics.
A: Mathematics is my favourite subject. I think, I can help you to prepare for exams.
B: Thank you very much.

III.

A: Do you like the lectures on economics under Professor Petrov?
B: Yes, of course. He is a very good lecturer and I haven`t missed a single lecture.
A: Do you take notes of all his lectures?
B: Yes, I do. It will help me to prepare for exams.

I. “A” asked me if my brother was a student? I answered he was and he was studying to become an economist. “A” reminded me that my brother had used to like English. I agreed to him and added that he was fond of foreign languages. “A” inquired if he took part in students` scientific work. I agreed and said he applied his acquired English in his research work. II. "A" asked me when my exams would begin. I answered they were not far off and there was the time-table of my exams. "A" inquired if I was afraid. I agreed that I was afraid and could fall in mathematics. "A" said mathematics was his favourite subject and he thought he could help me to prepare for exams. I thanked him. III. "A" asked if I liked the lectures on economics under Professor Petrov. I agreed and said professor Petrov was a very good lecturer and I hadn`t missed a single lecture."A" asked if I took notes of all his lectures. I answered I did and they helped me to prepare for exams.
