My name is Maria and I’m a teenager.I’m 15 years old. In fact, children aged13 to 19 are considered to be teenagers.In my opinion, it is one of the bestperiods of life. Although, there are, ofcourse, some advantages anddisadvantages of this age group. It isn’talways easy to be a teenager. Boys andgirls often meet their first love whenthey are teenagers. This type of love canbe unhappy. Many teenagers startsmoking and drinking alcohol, which isnot good at all. They simply don’t knowhow unhealthy it can be. This way theywant to look older and more mature. Ithink this is the age when parents shouldkeep an eye on their children to helpthem overcome such problems. In manycountries, teenagers have jobs while theyare still at school. It is a good way tokeep busy. When teens do somethinguseful and have interesting hobbies, theyare less seen in bad companies. Ofcourse, these jobs are not full-timebecause pupils should also attend theirclasses during the day. Part-time jobs area good solution in this situation. One ofmy English pen-friends does a part-timejob. She wakes up early and deliversnewspapers in the neighborhood. Then,she goes to school. It’s a low-paid job butshe still likes it. At least, she gets somepocket money. I wish I could dosomething similar in my town.Unfortunately, I almost don’t have anyfree time. I’m now at a high school and Istudy hard to pass the exams. Other thanthat, I attend special IT workshops formy future career. In the end, when Ihave some free time left I read books.Reading is one of my favourite hobbies.As you see, unlike many teenagers, I have no time for bad habits.
