Как раскрыть скобки и как это объяснить ? He..(to say) he (not to finish) this article yet; he..( to finish) tommorow at 5 p.m. 

Не подскажете еще кае объяснить что здесь должно быть would, а не will?

1. He said he had not finished this article yet2. He said he would have finished it tomorrow at 5 p.m.
