Dear Daisy, I have been sharing a student house with Olivia for six
months now. At first I really enjoyed living with her but recently things have been started to go wrong. First of all, she
appears to be unable to do any kind of housework. Whenever I ask her to
do the washing-up she always promises to do it but then somehow manages to forget. I don't really
appreciate being faced with a pile of dirty dishes every time I go into
the kitchen. Another thing is, she never offers to cook. She loves
eating though, and keeps on
taking my food without asking. The other day I was really looking
forward to eating a delicious chocolate cake I had
bought, but when I opened the fridge it had gone! And what's worse - she pretended not to know
anything about it! I know I really need to confront her but somehow I
always avoid speaking to her about it because, the truth is, I can't
stand having difficult conversations with people. You're a very
diplomatic person, Daisy - how can I persuade her to be a bit more
considerate? Let me know if you have
any bright ideas!
