over sixty people were rescued from the village of Chulmleigh in Devon last night when their homes were flooded. Many homes were damaged and all roads to the village were closed.  There was so much water in some places that two people were evacuated by boat.  Most people from the village were taken to Tiverton and spent the night in a social centre.1.
