Бейли был рядом с Итаном много лет, пока мальчик взрослел, впервые влюбился, познавал жизнь. Но век собаки короток, и вскоре Итану пришлось расстаться с со своим четвероногим другом. Следующее рождение стало для Бейли сюрпризом: он воплотился в полицейской овчарке и сменил пол.
