Green greeted Mr. Basov in the morning and asked him how he was getting on. Basov greeted him too and answered he was getting on very well.He thanked Green and told him to take a seat.He offered Green a cigarette and Green thanked him. He told Mr. Basov that they had studied his quotation and the terms of the contract. He had to say that his prices were not attractive to them.They were too high, Green asked if Mr. Basov could give them a discount for a large order. Mr, Basov answered that was a problem. He explained that that was their usual price. The quality of their motors was very high and they were heavy with orders at that price. But as they had done a lot of business with Green they could give him a small discount. Green asked for a discount of 7 %. Mr. Basov answered that was impossible.They could offer him a 2 % discount.He asked if Green could accept it. Green answered he could. And in turn he asked Mr. Basov to agree to FOB terms.Basov said they had no problem. They could do it if that suited Green. Green thanked Mr. Basov.
