Dear Sir or Madam,I am writing to apply for the post of kitchen helper at Lenny’s Restaurant which was advertised in last Saturday’s newspaper.

I have considerable experience of working in catering. Last summer, I worked for six weeks as a waitress in my local café. My responsibilities there included taking orders and serving customers as well as cleaning the kitchen and washing up.
