The Americasn flag is often called thr "Stars and Stripes".It has thirteen stripes(one for each first colony) and fifty stars, one for each state. In 1977, the "Stars and Stripes" became the official flag of the USA.Americans celebrate Flag Day on the fourteenth of June.
