In Russian culture there are a lot of traditions and customs that are closely connected to food. Just recently we celebrated Maslenitza - the pancake week. This holiday signifies the end of fasting for religious people, the nearing end of winter and coming of spring. The whole week we make delicious pancakes with different toppings. Some are savoury, for example: caviar, smoked salmon, cheese and ham. Some are sweet like condensed milk, the variety of jams, cottage cheese, chocolate and so on. Traditionally we eat pancakes with black tea but these days you can choose whichever drink you prefer. Что-то в этом роде?))
