The usual meals in England are breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast people usually prefer porridge or cornflakes, bacon and eggs, fried mushrooms and tea or coffee. They can also boil eggs, cold ham or fish with potato chips. For lunch people may have mutton chop, fish or chips, steak with fried potatoes or salad. Working people usually have their lunches in the cafés or small restaurants. Afternoon tea is an English tradition. Friends often come for a chat while they have their cups of tea, cake or biscuit. In many English families dinner is the biggest meal and in the evening there is supper. For supper people have an omelette or sausages, sometimes eggs and bacon. At the night they may have bread with cheese, a glass of juice or a cup of hot chocolate.
