On June 1, 1910, captain Scott left London for an expedition. He got a letter from Amundsen and they're racing to the South pole . In the polar summer, both teams were preparing for the next expedition replenishing stocks in warehouses. Amundsen left first on a sled, and Scott left on November 1.But Scott had problems with the sled, the pony started having problems with snow and cold,so the sled had to push his people. Amundsen reached the pole on December 14, Scott on January 17. Scott was disappointed that he lost the race. The way back was very difficult for them. The expedition was not completely unsuccessful, because on the way back they were looking for the stones,as they had planned. The cattle went 11 miles, but then the storm started and they couldn't get out of the tent where he died.
