Music in the modern world is everywhere. There are so many different music styles around: pop, rap, alternative, rock, disco, techno, drum & bass and, of course, immortal classics. Different people like different music depending on their tastes and preferences.

Scientists say that, knowing the musical preferences of the person can define his character. I agree with this statement because I think that music can show nature and soul. For example, they believe that people who listen to rock are smart and reasonable.

As for me, I like to listen to "the Mill". This group sings in the style of folk rock. Their repertoire includes many Varangian, Scandinavian, English and many other ballads. I like this band because of the unusual music and good lyrics. Each of their songs has a deep meaning and represents a whole story. They create with the help of music a magical world inhabited by knights, Vikings, Valkyries and many magical creatures. In addition, their soloist has an extraordinary voice, I think this talent is born very rarely.

I admire people who can make their own music. I, unfortunately, am deprived of such talent. In my understanding, such people can show feelings, draw pictures with the help of their songs. They are able to make the listener laugh or cry, think about the important and eternal.

It is important that the music is of high quality. I don't like it when it doesn't make any sense except for primal instincts. Unfortunately, a lot of modern pop music has gone this way.

I think you can't live without music, it's everywhere. I always listen to music regardless of my mood. She often helps me in my daily life. Boring work around the house becomes easier and more fun with a good music track. And the long road is brightened by the presence of your favorite band. One modern poet wrote: "the World would be pointless without songs" - and I fully agree with him.

My favourite music style is alternative rock. I can listen to it both loud and at the background. This music makes me cheerful but sometimes even sad. Earlier I thought that alternative rock included only hard and loud music, it was not quite true. Alternative rock can be slow and very beautiful.

My favourite group is Muse. I think it`s fantastic. It is a popular British group. They play alternative rock which is original and interesting. Muse is a very successful group. Their concerts are always visited by many people and the concert halls practically don`t have free places. Their songs are touching and meaningful. Their soloist plays very beautiful and exciting melodies on the grand piano.

I have never been to the concerts of this group, because they have never come to my country. But I want to see them very much. And I hope that soon I will go to the concert of Muse, the best group of the world!
