The polar bear is the largest predator of the animal world. The weight of males is 400-500 kg, females is up to 380 kg. The bear perfectly floats and dives. He quickly moves on the ice. The polar bears hunt on walrus calves, eat also sea emissions, fish and birds. The maximum life span of a polar bear is 25-30 years.The polar bear has an elongated body, a long agile neck and a small head with narrow forehead and small, high-set eyes. This animal has got very strong legs with large claws. The feet of the polar bear are wide. The fur covers all  body of the animal and has a white color, it isn't changing on seasons of year. But the skin of a polar bear is dark, almost black. The polar bears are listed in the Red Book of Russia.
