  • Kanysh Satpayev was the youngest of three children of Imanta Biya and his second wife, Salima, was born in the late nineteenth century (12.04.1899) in the village number 4 Akalinskiy parish. Now it is S. Tendik Bayanaul district of Pavlodar region.
  • From 10 to 13 years Kanysh attended school in the village, where he received primary education. In Pavlodar, he continued his studies, entered the school, which he graduated with honors and, against the will of his father, went to Semipalatinsk to study at the Seminary.

  • Kanysh Satpayev, KAZ. Anys Imentally Stebaev (31 March [12 April] 1899, the village Akalinskiy parish[1], Pavlodar uyezd, Russian Empire — January 31, 1964, Moscow) — Soviet academician, geologist, science organizer and public figure[2]. One of the founders of the Soviet metallogenic science, the founder of the Kazakh school of metallogeny[3] [4].

    Doctor of geological and mineralogical Sciences (1942), Professor (1950), academician of the Kazakh SSR (1946), full member of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1946), first President of The Kazakh SSR Academy of Sciences[5]. He became known as a geologist who discovered the Ulutau-Dzhezkazgan copper Deposit, which was at that time the largest in projected reserves[6].
