How do you know that you are coming down with a cold?

If I am coming down with a cold I usually feel a little rising of temperature, shivering (озноб) throatache or a cough weakness and I don*t want to eat -I want to lie in the bed under the warm blanket.

What do you usually do to get better? I have to take a lot of medicine prescribed by the doctor, drink a lot of tea with lemon and milk with honey, stay in bed, not to go to school,put warm clothes and socks on.
