Millions of people all over the world are fond of sports and games. Sport is very important in our life. There are many proverbs about sports and health. For example: « Health is above wealth » and « A healthy mind in a healthy body ». Sport is popular with children and grown-ups because it helps us to keep fit, look slim, be cheerful, active and disciplined. It makes our body flexible and increases blood circulation. There is a great number of sports facilities in different cities ( stadiums, swimming pools, skating rinks, tennis courts). Every school has a gym or a sports ground. We play indoor and outdoor games there. Pupils often hold competitions and win a victory over another school team. We have excellent football teams in our school. We also run a race and show excellent results. As for me, sport is an important part of my life. In summer I enjoy playing badminton, football and volleyball. In a word, sport gives me a lot of joy and pleasure. It makes me more sporty and cheerful.
