я сама нашла...в значении полумодального можно без S, в значении смыслового нужно с S... осталось различить, когда я его использую как полумодальный, когда как смысловой... в любом случае, спасибо!

Как модальный глагол LET используется в качестве “разрешите, позвольте” и “пусть”: Let Alex not announce the winner, let Natasha do it. - Пусть Алекс не объявляет победителя, пусть это сделает Наташа. Я думаю, что в данном задании глагол явно смысловой.
