School Uniform Школьная формаSchool uniform is an integral part ofschool life in many countries. Mostschools in Russia also require schooluniforms. However, some school acceptfreestyle outfit. There are differentopinions on how the standard schoolforms should look like. Some schools havedark blue uniforms, while others use darkred or dark green colours. Some schools inRussia accept white shirts and black skirtsfor girls and black trousers for boys.Nevertheless, all these school uniformshave something in common. They all lookrather smart and strict. Children’sopinions on school uniform differ. Somesay they like wearing it, while othersprefer to wear a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. In my opinion, the school uniformhas both advantages and disadvantages.First of all when children wear a schooluniform, they realize that they are atschool not at a swimming-pool orstadium. It adjusts them to schoolatmosphere and helps to study harder.Secondly, school uniforms prevent socialinequality. It means that both rich andpoor children wear the same clothes.Furthermore, children don’t have suchproblem as what to wear in the morning.The disadvantages of school uniforminclude the loss of individuality. Everyonebecomes alike and children look similar.The second problem may be untidiness.As children wear the same clothes everyday their uniform starts to look a bituntidy and faded. Last but not the leastschool uniforms have become ratherexpensive lately. So, not every parentwants to buy it. As for me, I support theidea of wearing a school uniform. I thinkthat at home we can put on what we want,but at school we need to follow the rules.
