My name is Olya and I study in the seventh form. We study different subjects at school. I am good at English, Maths and Art but my favourite one is History. I like when our teacher Maria Petrovna tells us interesting facts about well-known people and historical events. And then we discuss all the information that we have learnt. Sometimes we even quarrel with each other about the historical roles of some famous people. For example, my friend Tanya says that Peter the Great was the man who helped our country to become more progressive. But to my mind he didn\'t think of poor people, made their lives worse and harder, brought many harmful habbits and ruined many Russian traditions. Sometimes Maria Petrovna shows us short documentary films. Especially I liked the films about the ancient Romans and the ancient Slavs. Also I like when the teacher organises historical quizes and funny games. Unfortunately I have never won those quizes. That\'s why I decided to read more historical books and to study more to win them someday. Also I help her to publish school historical newspaper. It helps me to get more knowledge, too. I haven\'t decided yet, but maybe in the future I\'ll be a teacher of History.
