Kiev is the capital of Ukraine and attractive European city. The city was founded many centuries ago. For many centuries the it was the main city of Kievan Rus.The capital lies on picturesque banks of the Dnieper river. It is known as a large industrial, great scientific and famous cultural cente with unique architecture and magnificent churches and cathedrals. Thousands of visitors come to Kiev every year to visit its sights, such as old Golden Gates, famous Sophia\'s Cathedral and Kievo-Pecherska Lavra. A lot of museums and art galleries, theatres and music halls are visited by guests and city dwellers.
