The Amur Tiger is one of the most famous endangered species in the world. It is the biggest cat in the world. It lives in the birch forests of Russia, mostly in the snowy Far East. The population of Amur Tigers awfully dropped in the 1930s, there were only about 40 animals found. Since then these animals have been under protection and have multiplied their population up to 500. But they still are in danger because of illegal hunting.
