I\'m writing from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. We\'re staying in a large hotel on Khreshchatyk Street. This is the main street of the city. Kyiv looks like a huge park with its chestnut trees. Yesterday we visited the Kyiv-Pecherska Lavra. The cathedrals of this monastery are really unique. We saw the official representative of the Ukrainian government. It is located in a very beautiful ancient building Mariyinsky park. We were impressed by great number of cathedrals and churches. They remind that Kyiv is the center of Orthodox Church.
