The oldest school in the UK is considered to be the King\'s School. It is the monastic school-board, founded in 597 in Canterbury. The Charterhouse was founded in Godalming, Surrey in the building of the former Cartesian monastery. Its founder is Thomas Sutton. Also we must mention the Brighton College, founded in 1845 in Brighton. It is one of the top ten schools in the UK.
