Rhinos are one of the largest land mammals in the world. They have lived on earth for 50 million years. We can find all types of rhinos in Africa, India and Indonesia. They are: White, Indian, Javan, Black and Sumatran. The rhino weighs about 1.5 tons. Its skin is very thick. Rhinos like spending time in the mud because it helps to protect them from the sun. Rhinos have got a big horn on the head. Some types of rhinos have got two horns. Rhinos are fast runners. They can run up to 45 miles per hour. They have got good sense of smell and hearing but they can\'t see very well. Rhinos live up to 45 years. Rhinos are herbivore. Their favourite food is leaves, branches, grass and bushes. Today rhinos are in danger. People kill them for their horns.
