Thanks to such museums, all generations can get acquainted with the history of their country. The national History Museum of Moldova was founded in 1983, located in the historical center of Chisinau. The Museum has ten exhibition halls, which are extremely beautiful architectural structures. Every year the Museum holds about fifteen thematic exhibitions, which are important events in the cultural life of Moldova. The national history Museum of Moldova has a collection of about 300,000 (three hundred thousand) items of historical value: archaeological finds, documents, photographs, numismatics, household items, decorative arts. At least 165,000 (one hundred and sixty-five thousand) exhibits belonging to the Museum are the national property of Moldova. This Museum often organizes excursions for schoolchildren.
