     Vesuvius is one of the most famous and dangerous volcanoes on the planet Earth. It is situated in the south of Italy, not far from Naples.  Its height is 1281 meters. Its age is about 12 thousand years. And it is active.

     The most well-known and powerful Vesuvius` eruption took place on August 24, 79. Then several cities, such as Pompeii and Herculaneum, were completely destroyed. This fact is described in textbooks on history. The last historical eruption happened in 1944.

     There are a lot of people who want to see Vesuvius with their own eyes, approximately 4 million each year. And they can fulfill this dream and climb the volcano using the equipped hiking trail.
