The «Eight Below» movie, starring Paul Walker, was released in 2006. This is an extremely dramatic and touching story about courage, friendship and survival under the conditions of brutal Antarctic frost. The plot tells us about eight dogs who were left alone in a frozen desert, forgotten by the team of explorers that was forced to leave Antarctic because of bad weather conditions. For long months the dogs had to survive and wait for the rescue. In the end only six of eight dogs have survived.
