Rosalind Franklin is an English chemist who made valuable contributions to discovering the structure of DNA. She managed to take a picture of a DNA molecule. She gave the pictures she took to Watson and Crick who became famous for discovering the DNA structure. Her work was not recognized when she was alive. She died from cancer in the age of 37. Rosalind Franklin used radiation in her research, and it might have caused her illness.
