Ann has invited Alice to her place because they were friends and they hadn’t seen each other for ages. Alice was in Odessa. Then she had a fantastic voyage by sea. She travelled with her parents.  They arrived in Odessa at midnight. They missed the last bus and took a taxi and went straight to the hotel.
