I went to school when I was seven. It was an ordinary school. After four years of studies at elementary school, I passed into secondary school. Elementary and secondary schools together constitute eleven years of study. Nine years of schooling are compulsory in our country. The primary school course includes such subjects as Kazakh language, mathematics, Russian language, drawing, music and natural history. Our school year begins on the 1st of September and ends in May. It lasts nine months.
