Rut the verbs in brackets in the Past Simple or the Past Continuous. Two weeks ago i celebrated (celebratate) my birthday.

Two weeks ago I celebrated (Past Simple) my birthday. I bought (Past Simple) lots of food, including Parma ham. At about 6 I was cooking (Past Continuous) in the kitchen. The sun was shining (Past Continuous) and it was (Past Simple) a wonderful evening, so I opened (Past Simple) the back door. Suddenly the phone rang (Past Simple) and I went (Past Simple) to answer it. When I came back (Past Simple) the ham was not on the table. I looked out (Past Simple) of the window. A cat was sitting and eating  (Past Continuous) my ham.
