Pronghorn - an ungulate, the most ancient in North America. Once this family numbered 70 species, but today there is only one. Pronghorn is a slim and beautiful animal with long legs. There are pads on their feet that protect their hooves from damage when the pronghorn flies along a stony surface, this herbivore that feeds on various plants, even poisonous ones. Received its name from the beautiful curved horns. This is a very fast animal, second only to a cheetah in speed. But cheetahs do not live on the territory inhabited by the pronghorns. The main enemies are coyotes, lynxes and wolves. In nature, it usually lives no more than 7 years. In the twentieth century they were endangered, but thanks to protective measures their population was restored.
