Although pandas are considered omnivores, most of their diet is bamboo, which is why it is also called bamboo bear. In our time, many protective measures have been taken to preserve the species. In China, the death penalty is foreseen for killing a panda. In captivity, pandas breed very rarely, therefore, preserving their species is a difficult but quite achievable task. First of all, we need to protect bamboo forests, because without this plant the panda dies from starvation.
