Welcome to Ukraine

Ukraine is a very beautiful country. It is situated in the Eastern Europe and its capital is Kyiv. This country has a wonderful history. Ukrainian cossacks are famous all over the world. They were brave and strong, ready to give their life for their beloved motherland. 

There are a lot of beautiful churches and cathedrals in Ukraine. It`s obligatory to visit Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra, Andriivskyi Cathedral and Mykhailivskyi Cathedral. One of the most important places of interest is Maidan Nezhalezhnosti, the central square of Kyiv. 

There are a lot of marvellous places in this country. Some of the biggest cities are: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and Lviv.

If you are in Ukraine, try Ukrainian dishes. It`s recommended to eat \"borsch\" - a Ukrainian red soup, and \"varenyky\" - dumplings filled with meat, mushrooms, cheese, etc. Ukrainian cuisine is not so popular all over the world but its dishes are very tasty.

It is worth to know also about Ukrainian people. They are really nice and friendly.
