Dear Mark,

I am writing to apologize for losing the book of poems, which you lent me last week.

Yesterday after school I went to the park. It was a nice spring weather and I decided to spend some more time outside. After a 30-minute walk, I set on the bench and started to read the book. Accidently, I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was already dark. And very soon I found out that my bag and your book had been stolen. I am very upset about that.

I think it will not be a problem if I buy you a new book? I will be able to do it this Saturday.
