Penza region is one of the regions of Russian Federation with a centre of it in the city Penza. The history of Penza begins from 1663 when it was a fortress. Nowadays Penza region is one of developed regions with the population more than 1 million people. There are many places of interest here which are worth to see. For example a museum of «Tarhany». It is a place where the poet Mikhail Yurievich Lermontov spent his childhood.
