Dear Peter, I’m writing to tell you about what happened to me last week while I was visiting my aunt who lives by sea. One afternoon I took her dog for a walk by the cliffs when I noticed a girl who was climbing a tree by the edge of the cliff. As she was hanging there, the branch suddenly broke and the girl fell over the edge. I ran to the edge, but although the girl was shouting for help, I wasn’t able to see her. I was thinking about what to do when a man came along the cliff path. I explained what had happened and while he was going for help I was talking to the girl. Well, everything ended happily. The girl was rescued and her parents thanked me by giving me a large bunch of flowers. The story was in the newspaper too! That’s all my news – write and tell me yours soon.
