Exams are known as the quickest way to test students’ knowledge at schools and in universities. However, they take much time and they are very stressful.

Firstly, exams are the most efficient method to show the level of knowledge and skills in a particular subject. Every schoolchild or student has a possibility to see their own progress, reveal strong and weak points. Secondly, exams motivate students to do their best in the subject. They learn answers to all possible questions, systemizing and improving their knowledge.

However, exams usually take much time away from the scheduled activities. Students have to spend some extra hours on their study, sacrificing other important things. Moreover, a big responsibility and fear to get a bad mark have a strong impact on students’ health.

In spite of all “cons”, exams are useful.
