Interesting is an adjective. Adjectives have three forms of degrees of comparative. They are Simple, Comparative and Superlative.

There are two ways of formation these degrees. We can form with the help of suffixes and with the help of words. One and two syllable adjectives help their degrees with the suffixes – er and the – est (tall — taller — the tallest).

Adjectives that have three and more syllables form their degrees with the help of words more and the most.

In-te-res-ting has four syllables.
