The Aztecs were the Indian people of Central America. Their approximate number was about 1.3 million people. At the beginning, the members of this tribe were hunters, but then, they settled and began to engage in agricultural and handicraft work, although it was quite a warlike tribe. According to the legend, more than 200 years the Aztec tribes had been travelling in order to find their new homeland, before they settled to the North-West of the valley of Mexico, where the city Tenochtitlan was founded and the history of the Aztec empire began.
