Alice Jones is one of the most interesting people I have ever met. She is only 23, but she has already traveled to over 18 different countries. Four years ago, she was a teacher in Birmingham, but she decided to give up her job and see the world. The first time she was abroad was eight years ago when she was just nineteen. She took a boat to France and then hitch-hiked around Europe for six weeks. Afterwards she visited Europe many times but that first trip was special — it made her start travelling. She couldn’t forget the excitement of those six weeks — although it was not all enjoyable. When she was in Leipzig, for example, somebody stole her purse, she lost all her money and had to work in a restaurant for a month. She made some good friends there however and returned several times to see them afterwards.
