Collies are a breed of shepherd dogs originally from Scotland. It is also called the Scottish Sheepdog. Collie has a long coat of usually white and red shades. Life expectancy is up to 14 years. This is a very faithful, kind, intelligent and loving dog. So this breed of dog is very suitable for families with children. The dog is playful and friendly. There are two types of collie: with a long coat and with a coat of medium length. These are easily trained dogs, knowingly they are used in Scotland and England for walking sheep.
