  • Hello, dear guests! I am your guide and today I will give you a tour of the Moscow Kremlin. Moscow Kremlin is the main attraction of the capital, recognizable throughout the world. The Kremlin preserves many fabulously interesting monuments of the past, which are able to attract attention and leave vivid impressions. The Moscow Kremlin is a fortress, which as a hero, having passed through centuries and trials, remains the heart not only of Moscow, but also of Russia. Please draw your attention to the fact that the territory inside the fortress walls of the Kremlin has the status of a museum-reserve. It is a specially protected object, since the residence of the President of our country is located in the heart of Moscow. The territory of the Kremlin is open on any day, except Thursday, from 10.00 to 18.00. We begin the tour of the Moscow Kremlin from the west, because tourists can only get inside through the Trinity Gate. Through Kutafyu tower, we get to the red-brick Trinity Bridge, which is laid over the place where the deep Neglinka River had previously flowed. The bridge leads to the gates of the Trinity Tower, standing exactly in the middle of the north-west wall. This is the highest tower of the Kremlin. It rises to 80.1 m. Behind the tower to the right leads the narrow Palace Street. At its beginning is a post, beyond which tourists are not allowed. It is worth paying attention to the bright facade of the Poteshny Palace, which is located 150 meters south of the Trinity Gate. On the left you can see the picturesque two-story building of Arsenal, and an exhibition of captured cannons is located in front of it. Some of the old artillery guns lie directly on the pavement, others are mounted on metal carriages or laid on special stone platforms. Opposite Arsenal there rises a massive State Kremlin Palace, which many people call the Palace of Congresses. Passing along Trinity Street to the southeast, we enter a spacious Ivanovskaya Square, dominated by the high Bell Tower of Ivan the Great. Between the bell tower and the Patriarch\'s Palace and the Cathedral of the Twelve Apostles you can see an amazing monument - the giant Tsar Cannon, made at the end of the 16th century in the Moscow cannon courtyard. Another historical monument, for which many tourists come to the Kremlin, stands at the Ivanovo pillar of the bell tower. This is a huge Tsar Bell, cast right here, on Ivanovskaya Square, in the 30s of the XVIII century. If we turn right behind the massive bell, we will get to the rectangular Cathedral Square. Several ancient Orthodox churches rise on Cathedral Square. One of the main ones on the Cathedral Square is the Assumption Cathedral, austere in architecture, which occupies a place opposite the Ivan the Great Bell Tower. Behind the Assumption Cathedral you can see the white facade of the Patriarchal Palace and the silvery domes of the temple of the Twelve Apostles, which close the Cathedral Square on the north side. This is the main part of the journey to the sights of the Moscow Kremlin. After inspecting the facades of churches and museums, it is necessary to go back to Trinity Street, walk along it to the Trinity Gate and exit to Alexander Garden. Those who are not in a hurry can walk through the territory of this green park, which stretches along the entire north-western wall of the Kremlin.
