Mice should be kept in a simple, gnaw-proof cage, terrarium or aquarium of sufficient size. Wire cages are not recommended. Cotton wool is preferred for bedding. Cages should be cleaned carefully. Mice should be fed with a good quality grain mixture, it should be given in small amounts. They should be provided with the equipment for exercise: small ladders, ropes, wheels. MIce should be lifted by taking the tail firmly, close to the base while supporting the body with the other hand.
