Australia is a country in the south hemisphere; its official name is Commonwealth of Australia.

The state occupies the whole Australian continent, Tasmania Island and other islands of Indian and Pacific Ocean.

Most population lives in the cities on the east of Australia, because the middle area of the continent is a desert.  

Aborigines are native people who inhabited Australia many years ago, but nowadays people from all over the world can be citizens of this country.

Australia is located separately from all other continents. This is the reason why its flora and fauna are so different and curious. Such exotic animals as kangaroo and koala can be found in Australia in wild nature.
