Thanks for your letter. Sorry I haven't written so long.

In your letter you've asked me about my favourite holiday. My favourite holiday is New Year, because people give a lot of presents each other. On my birthday we usually decorate Christmas tree. On the Eve of the New year my mother and me cook a lot of food.

What the name of your book? How many pages have you already read? Do you like this book?

Правильное письмо. Только я бы заменила предложение где говориться "Накануне Нового года.." напиши лучше так "Накануне Нового Года мы готовим с мамой..." Тогда читаться будет немного легче и четче. 

give a lot of presents each other - лучше сказать: exchange gifts. Почему On my birthday? Вы же про New year пишите. Перед Christmas tree нужен артикль 'a". My mother and I (а не me). What is the name of your book?Drop me a line.
