Какая разница между словами ache - hurt,
sickness - disease - illness?

1)Usually I would say an ache could be described as a dull pain, that is, not necessarily less painful, but a constant pain, usually from within the limb. On the other hand, "my knee hurts" could describe a sharp pain, or an aching pain.

2) A disease is generally associated with a bacterial or viral cause, but an illness can be less defined and include mental illness, a general feeling of malaise, etc.

 Illness as the subjective state of "unwellness" can occur independently of, or in conjunction with, disease or sickness.

 

illness - болезнь физическая или психическая sickness - болезнь, но еще как вообще слабое здоровье, недомогание (иногда так к говорят о сильной тошноте) disease - чаще всего , серьезная инфекционная болезнь...причем не только у людей, но и у животных и растений (так еще в перен. значени говорят о каком-то негативном явлении в обществе, которое пердается от человека к человеку.. social disease)
