If you were a teacher, what would you change in organising exams and why? :)

First of all, I would change the atmosphere. All pupils and students are frighted of it. They only think about good mark. They also try to learn by heart all information. But is it necessary? The teacher must help pupils to search the most important information and understand it. It would be better, if it was friendly conversation.
